Artist Statement

I collect discarded objects with damaged and missing parts and fabricate prosthetic additions to re-complete them. Creating these sculptural stand-ins for corporeality involves a cathartic response to injury, sometimes satirical, sometimes poignant. The mended forms do not recover an ideal state—the prostheses attest to wear and abuse, acknowledging history and the realities of lifespan.
