Artist Statement

My work investigates the interaction between sculpture and space through perspective, shadow, and structure. I am inspired by forgotten contradictions and the things that elude us in daily life. Using wood, metal, plaster, concrete, acrylic glass, and cardboard, I search for the familiar in objects. Though I try to maintain human traces, I also want to create a peculiar presence that balances the recognizable and the unknown, the material and the immaterial.
