Don Porcaro was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1950. He received a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Fairleigh Dickenson University, and a MFA in Sculpture from Columbia University. This New York-based sculptor makes intriguingly shaped, highly enjoyable art from industrial mixed media – concrete, metal, and paint. His whimsical, off-beat forms speak to a humorous view of life, and his sculptures possess a freedom of form that broaches the unknown.
