The Weatherspoon is a participant in this year’s International Sculpture Day on Friday, April 24, 10am-5pm.
This is the inaugural International Sculpture Day, and is scheduled to have over 50 events across the globe, with representation in over 12 countries and reaching a projected audience of over 30,000 attendees.
The Weatherspoon will offer a self-guided tour of our Sculpture Garden. Sculpture Guides will be on hand for visitors at the front desk in the museum atrium.
The International Sculpture Center (ISC) established the International Sculpture Day program in 2014 as an annual celebration event held worldwide on April 24 to further the ISC’s mission of advancing the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society.
This program has been made possible through generous donations by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The International Sculpture Center is a member-supported, nonprofit organization founded in 1960 to champion the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society. Members include sculptors, collectors, patrons, architects, developers, journalists, curators, historians, critics, educators, foundries, galleries, and museums-anyone with an interest in and commitment to the field of sculpture.
