The Arts Council of Princeton announces Helen O’Shea in “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day”

The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) announces the first performer in the 2016/2017 Robeson Center Live! Performance Series, Irish vocalist Helen O’Shea. In this centennial year of the 1916 Rising in Ireland, Helen presents “Halfway to St Patrick’s Day” – an evening of song, music & dance celebrating the Irish tradition.
Helen will be joined by her Celtic band SHENANIGANS & the Rince O’Chroi (“Dance from the Heart”) School of Irish Dance. Featured performers of SHENANIGANS include singers and musicians: Paul Bejgrowicz, Rich Bozic, Bob Cole, Peter Guarnaccia, Mark O’Donnell, Helen O’Shea, Garry Pearsall, Marvin Perkins, Katherine Wessinger & Fil Wisneski. Special guests “Rince O’Chroi” dancers will be led by Justin Kotelnicki, former “Riverdance” & “Lord of the Dance” performer. Join us for what promises to be a wonderful celebration of all-things-Irish.

$12 ACP members, students, seniors/$15 General Admission. Tickets are available at the door 30 minutes before show time on a first-come, first-served basis. Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, 102 Witherspoon Street, Princeton NJ 08542. Parking is available in the Spring and Hulfish Street Garages and at metered spots along Witherspoon Street and Paul Robeson Place.

Robeson Center Performances range from jazz, blues, world-fusion, folk, musical theater, and culturally-specific roots music. With Robeson Center Live!, Café Improv – a monthly showcase of local and regional artists broadcast on Princeton Community Television – and community collaborations, Robeson Center Performances present a diverse range of artists in the intimate setting of the Arts Council of Princeton’s Solley Theater, one of New Jersey’s best listening rooms. These performances present live music, theater, spoken word and more in an uncluttered sound space, providing the audience with an inspiring, up-close-and-personal experience.
