The Arts Council of Princeton Summer Concert Series Presents AJOYO

July 14, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| Free

The Arts Council of Princeton, in partnership with the Princeton Shopping Center and Edens, presents AJOYO on Thursday, July 14th at 6 pm in the Princeton Shopping Center Courtyard. 301 North Harrison Street, Princeton, NJ. AJOYO is the vision of multi-reed player Yacine Boularès, a mystic brew blending African tradition, jazz and soul. More than music, it’s a joyful ceremony, a fuller experience bringing musicians and audience close together. Stomping towards you in the eye of the dancer, arms open, horns, bell and bass interwoven like the fabric of a ceremonial dress, AJOYO speaks the language of the talking drum with a New York accent. AJOYO celebrates life, love and justice through music: music for the heart, the mind and the body, the kind that is soulful, sophisticated and that makes people want to dance. The Summer Courtyard Concert Series is free and open to the public. Concerts will be held rain or shine; bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the case of rain, concerts will be held indoors at the Arts Council’s Pop-Up Studio in the Shopping Center. Ample parking is available at the Princeton Shopping Center. For more information and a full listing of concerts through August 25, visit artscouncilofprinceton.org or call 609.924.8777.
