Four NEW, LARGE SCULPTURES on view at the Catherine Konner Sculpture Park at Rockland Center for the Arts (ROCA) till Sept. 2018
4 Large abstract wooden sculptures by Peter Strasser recently installed at ROCA in Rockland County, NY. Each of these 10 foot sculptures were created using a sawmill in a unconventional style incorporating the natural organic tree lines as well as the straight angle lines of the sawmill. A light transarent white wash is used to embellish and preserve the artwork.
“Euterpe’s Gift” new lifesize outdoor sculpture created by Associate Professor of fine Arts Dora Natella, was installed May 19th 2017 on the IU South Bend Campus. This sculpture was recently unveiled near the Louise E. Adicott and Yatish J. Joshi Performance Hall at North Side Hall. Artspace will host a solo exhibition by Belgin Yücelen which showcases a series of sculptural dresses referencing to the historical past. Yücelen, being a Turkish-American, is inspired by her cultural history and creates these dresses as a reference to the clothing patterns of Europe and Anatolia during the era of the Ottoman Empire, building a body of work with vital historical importance.
