What is the target audience for this event?
Content will be geared toward artists, arts administrators, educators, museum staff, curators, educators, students, and patrons.

Can I bring a companion to programming and social activities? Registered ISC Member conference attendees may purchase one companion ticket. This ticket allows your companion to attend all the Opening Night Reception, all free evening parties, gallery hops, receptions and events. Your registered companion may also purchase tickets for optional tours. More details on optional tours available on the Registration Page.
Who can bring a companion to the conference? You must be an ISC Member to bring a companion to the conference.
Can I bring multiple companions? No. ISC Members are permitted to bring one (1) companion the conference. This will be monitored, and multiple companions registered under the same confirmation number will be unregistered from the conference.

Where are conference events being held?
The conference panels and keynotes will be at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Cultural Center. Social events are also being planned for other venues in Chicago.
Is there an age limit attendees must be to attend?
ISC conferences are adult, professional meetings and attendees must be at least 18 years of age to attend any activities.
Do I need to be an ISC member?
No, you do not need to be an ISC member to attend. However, members do receive discounted registration fees. To get the member rate you must enter your membership number when you register for the conference. Your membership must be current through October 31, 2012. Not a member yet? Click here to join.
Where do I find the member number?
You can find your member number on your magazine label; it is the 5-digit number located in red box on the left, as pictured below,

What is an ARTSlam?
ARTSlam Sessions are unique opportunities to meet with peers for creative critique. Artists are invited to present images (must be provided on a USB Drive, other formats not accepted) of thier current work to other attendees for constructive dialogue. Each artist will be limited to 10 minutes -maximum! Sessions will be limited to 6 people per session. Sign up prior to the session will be required and limited space is available. Sign ups will be on a first come basis. Registration on how to sign up for ARTSlam sessions coming soon!
What is a Mentoring Session?
Panelists will meet with smaller groups to discuss issues examined in panel discussions and answer questions. More information on Mentoring Sessions coming soon!
What is the conference press policy?
As a policy, the ISC does not extend press passes to attend entire events such as conferences or galas.
The ISC will consider requests for a member of the press to attend portions of an event such as a specific panel or awards portion of an event, however the press person must follow the following guidelines:
Request to attend the event must be submitted in writing. Request must include specific event they want to attend (panel name, etc). Requests must be received 30 days prior to event date.
Press person must provide details of the piece/project they are working on including name of the publication, article title/theme, and anticipated date of publication.
Requests will only be considered by reputable, verifiable media sources. Freelance reporters must provide an indication of targeted publications or previously published articles.
Press person may not take the seat of a paying attendee in a sold-out event and must understand that press may be restricted to "standing room only".
Each publication approved will be allowed no more than 2 press passes for the event. In most cases only one pass will be approved.
If request is approved reporters are required to send ISC a copy of the published article within 60 days of publication.

What is included in my registration fee?
Registration includes admission to all panels and keynotes, lunch each day, evening parties, openings, and gallery hops, the Opening Reception at the Museum of Contemporary Art, on October 3, 2012, and the Iron Pour and Finale Party on Saturday, October 6, 2012.
Will there be a student rate for this conference?
The ISC is doing it’s best to seek funding to lower rates for students. Please check often for updated details. You may register for the student ticket waiting list on the Registration Page.
Will on-site registration be available?
On-Site registration may be available on a first-come basis. Premium fees will apply. Please check the website regularly to see if available.

Can I register a spouse or colleague using my membership?
Your member number may only be used once, with the exception of University Level Members (who may send use the member number for three members of the University’s faculty) or Associate Level Members (who may use the member number for up to three staff members or volunteers). Attendees must use their own member numbers to register as a member. This will be monitored, and attendees who register using member IDs that are not their own may be disqualified from receiving the member rate.
How can I register a companion for assistance due to a disability?
If you would like to register an assistant for the conference, please call or email the ISC Events Department, (609) 689-1051 ext. 302, firstname.lastname@example.org.
How can my companion and I pay for our registrations together?
You and your companion can pay for registration together if you register your companion on the Registration Summary page (shown below), the two registrations will be combined at the end of registration. This way, the two registrations, confirmation emails, and payment will be combined.
How can my companion and I pay for our registrations separately?
You and your companion can pay for registration separately if the companion registration takes place after the ISC Member has completed their registration. This way, the two registrations, confirmation emails, and payment will be separate.
Does my companion have to register at the same time as me?
A companion may register at any point while conference registration is open, after the ISC Member has completed their registration. If registering as a companion after the ISC Member has completed their registration, the two registrations, confirmation emails, and payment will be separate.
Can I modify my registration?
You can modify your registration, including adding optional tours and events by clicking here:
Enter your information, including your confirmation number, which can be found in your confirmation email.
On the top left corner of the page there is a button that says “My Information”, if you hover over that a drop down menu will appear – select modify.
Continue through registration until you get to the optional tours page.

What is the best way to get around once I arrive in Chicago?
Chicago has a vibrant transportation network that connects communities across the city. Whether traveling by car, bike, foot or public transit, visitors have many convenient and safe options to get to and from their destinations.

Do I need to rent a car?
Chicago has ample public transportation that will allow conference attendees get around the city easily. You may however, wish to rent a car during free time to explore some of the great sites nearby which are not included in the program. The ISC has secured a discounted rate from Avis car rentals. See the Travel page for more details.
Please note that indoor valet hotel parking at the Hyatt Regency Chicago charges $50 for overnight parking. There is non-Hyatt parking at Monroe Street Parking (indoor/underground), 5 blocks South of the hotel. They offer 24-hour parking with no in/out privileges.

When you are not busy with the International Sculpture Conference, in Chicago you’re sure to find attractions that match your other interests.
The official Visitor Center, is located at Chicago Water Works, 163 E. Pearson St., or the Chicago Cultural Center, 77 E. Randolph St. where you can talk with one of the visitor services representatives and then go out and do the town.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be submitted in writing before September 4, 2012 and are subject to a $125 cancellation fee. No refunds will be offered for cancellations received after September 4, 2012. All approved refunds will be issued within 3 business days of request to original paid credit card. Registrations paid by check will be refunded via check .
