Conference Weekend is an especially busy time in Chicago and rooms are uncharacteristically tight! All of our ISC reserved rooms at the Hyatt for Saturday night Oct. 6th have been booked (Don’t worry, we still have plenty of rooms WEDS Oct 3 – FRI Oct 5).

But the ISC is looking out for you! We’ve secured another block of rooms at the beautiful PUBLIC Chicago Hotel (just a few blocks from the Hyatt) for Oct. 3rd – 8th. If you plan on staying at the conference for the Saturday night festivities and have yet to book your hotel, this is a great option. We have rooms that include Saturday (6th) night, and rooms that include both Saturday and Sunday (7th) night.

AND if you are interested in extending your stay in Chicago, the Public will extended its special ISC Conference rate up to three days before the 3rd and three days after the 6th*! Getting from O’Hare Airport to the Hyatt Regency and PUBLIC Hotels

Hyatt Via Train: Pick-up the “L” below the baggage claim area (follow signs to C.T.A.). Take train along the Blue Line towards Forest Park. Get off at the Clark/Lake stop (16th Stop, approximately 40 minute ride) which will drop you off approximately 7 blocks from hotel. Train fare will be $2.50 per person to and from O'Hare Airport. Walk East on Lake to Stetson St., turn left Stetson St. and walk 1 block to the hotel (approximately a 10 minute walk). Note: This method is not recommended if guest has more than 1 bag, as there are numerous escalators and turn-styles. Guest can take a cab or walk from Clark/Lake stop.

Hyatt Via Car: To drive from the Hyatt Regency Chicago from Chicago O’Hare Airport, take Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) East to Ohio St exit. Proceed on Ohio St. to State St. and turn right. Turn left at Wacker Drive. The Hyatt Regency will be down approximately 2 blocks on the right.

Walk 2 blocks East to Lake, and take the Red Line train North towards Howard. Get off at Clark and Division and walk two blocks East to N. State Parkway. Train fare will be $2.50 per person.

PUBLIC Via Car: To drive from the PUBLIC hotel from Chicago O’Hare Airport, take Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) East. Merge ontoI-94 E. Take exit 49A for Division St. and turn left on Division. Turn left of North State Parkway (State Street). PUBLIC Chicago will be on your right.

Via Go Airport Express: Shuttles depart from O’Hare Airport every 10-15 minutes for downtown service to Chicago hotels, downtown businesses, near north residential locations, and suburban locations. Ticket counters and loading zones for boarding the GO Airport Express van are at Door 1E across from baggage claim 6, at Terminal 2 door 2E across from Jet Blue Baggage Claim, Terminal 3 Door 3E across from baggage claim 9 and at Terminal 5, just outside door 5E. If you do not see a van, please call the toll-free number at 1-888-284-3826, and ask a reservationist to send a van to one of these locations when available. The GO Airport Express van runs daily from 6:05a.m. - 11:00p.m. The rate for a one-way single traveler is $28/ticket. One way party of two is $20/ticket. Round trip $50.00 for a single traveler and $36/each for a party of two. The Group fare (3 or more passengers traveling together to the same destination) is $15/each, or $28/each round trip.

Via Train: Follow airport signs to CTA train to the Loop. Take the Orange Line North from the airport towards the Loop until you arrive at State/Lake after 13 stops (34 minutes). Then walk 1 block north to Wacker. Take a right on Wacker and the hotel is approximately 3 blocks at 151 E. Wacker Drive (approximately a 7 minute walk).

Via Car: Take Cicero Ave North to Stevenson Expressway (I-55) North. Exit at Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94) West. Exit at Washington St and proceed East to Michigan Ave. Turn left. Proceed North to Wacker Drive. Turn right. Hotel is one block on right

Via Airport Express: Shuttles depart from Midway (MDW) Airport every 15 minutes for downtown service to Chicago hotels, downtown businesses and near north residential locations. GO Airport Express ticket counter and loading zone is located at Door 3, lower level across from baggage claim. Reservations from Midway to downtown are not necessary. The last GO Airport Express van leaves Midway at 10:30 pm seven nights a week. The rate for a one-way single traveler is $23/ticket. One way party of two is $16/ticket. Round trip is $40.00 for a single traveler and $28/each for a party of two. The Group fare (3 or more passengers traveling together to the same destination) is $13/each, or $23/each round trip.

Via Taxi: Taxi ride will cost approximately $30.00 - $40.00.

The CTA cash fare is $2.25 for adults. Visitor passes, good for unlimited rides for 3 or 7 days on CTA trains and buses, are available at the CTA stations at O'Hare and Midway Airports and official Chicago Visitor Centers at 163 E. Pearson St. and 77 East Randolph St. Passes for 1 or 30 days may be purchased at CTA headquarters. See website for details. Passes can also be purchased online. Passes are an inexpensive way to travel via the “L” and bus as much as you like!

CTA Bus: The Chicago bus system consists of 140 routes. Buses make over 25,000 trips daily, and serve nearly 12,000 bus stops throughout the region. CTA bus routes serve communities locally, move people across town, and a number of express services are provided. Several routes also provide 24-hour service, known as "Owl Service."

The #3 Bus runs up and down Michigan Ave., and will be convenient between the hotels and conference locations.

CTA 'L' (Train Service)

Chicago’s rail system consists of train lines spanning the city and neighboring communities, and is known locally as L. The service provided is described as "heavy rail rapid transit," also referred to as a "subway" or "metro" in many parts of the world.

Today's 'L' system has eight rapid transit routes and consists of 144 stations over approximately 242.2 miles of track. Parts of the "L" run above ground, in subway tunnels and tubes, as well as at grade or in expressway medians. Two routes operate 24 hours every day. There are 8 lines that run throughout Chicago.
