At the most fundamental level, I am distilling my everyday encounters with the objects that occupy the suburban landscape and re inserting them into an art context. The work either seizes upon the smallest idea possible or nullifies content altogether. This nullification becomes the content itself or else the content could be said to be the awkward relationship between audience and artwork or artist and artwork or artist and audience. gogo, as an art object, raises a dialogue between the standing viewer and ‘floor sculpture’. This work is informed by daily experimentation with forms and simple ideas/ seeds. Video is used frequently not only as documentation but also to place my sculpture in a narrative context.
