“My
work combines longing for a place you call home, a fascination with capturing
the elements (light, water, air), and my response to a new country. It
comes from an equation: Past + Present=art / Art=future / Memories + Stimulation.
The past is my memory of living in Mexico; the present is living in the
peculiar border region. My work reacts to materials familiar from my life
in Mexico and transforms them in a new environment.”
