I
understand the world through repetition. Repeating a mark, an activity,
a form allows me to work intuitively, letting my materials and ideas articulate
themselves. Repetitive marks and actions in my sculpture become representations
of energy or effort. Materials are also integral. I use handmade paper,
monofilament, and twinematerials that speak of humility. I enjoy
exalting these materials, showing their possibilities and beauty.
