“I
am interested in notions of perception, exploring the understanding of
function and reason through the use of the familiar in objects and materials.
My work questions the relationship of nature and culture, society’s
dependence on nature, and its influence over it. I use logs as a vehicle
for these notions. Floating suspended or hanging off balance, they call
into question how we perceive, how we come to accept the world as it has
been presented to us.”
