deprivation fuels my passion to create a longed-for world. By separating
my work from the utility of modern furniture, I create a unique view where
furniture personifies emotion. The anticipation of comfort contradicted
by appearance gives the form humility. It cannot meet the expectation
of specific purpose, of comfort and practical function. This conflict
defies easy categorization of the object and gives it an unanticipated
significance.”
