I began with
a simple goal—to make a wooden sphere. As I chose different woods,
cut and laminated the pieces, I found that, like my sphere, I was
in a perpetual state of deconstruction and creation. The leftovers
became the next ball, and so the cycle began. With each cut, the end
product became less important. The means and the journey, what we
keep and throw away, became the awkward and alluring architecture
of life.
