In my world of
imagination, past events are retrieved in many different forms as
my subconscious interacts with materials. Wood tells its story through
its grain, the leaf through color and condition. These stories energize
me. I materialize their past through my own memories, and I combine
my stories with theirs. I cut them, carve them, or build a structure
with them as the stories unfold to create a “dream space.”
