“This too
shall pass.” These words play a key role in my work. What is
nostalgia? What is so moving about distant times and places? My inquiries
result in lonely and dimly lit scenes: a pack of feral dogs runs through
an abandoned subdivision or a sphinx throws up images of the industrial
revolution. An apocalyptic feeling comes into the pieces about the
present. What will be left of our cities when this time passes?
