"The calmness of the ocean, the beauty of the deep, the feeling of being lost and found at the same time, are elements important to me when I seek to renew myself. Sports are fundamental in my life. Diving is more than just recreation. It is a sport and needs to be recognized, by us, as such."
    - Alexander De Paz, Age 17

"I hated caterpillars when I was younger. I never understood that they had such beauty. As they evolved into butterflies, their beauty emerged. Growth and change are all part of my life"
    - Jen Kirby, Age 17

"This piece is in response to a vacation that my family took to the Rocky Mountains. While there, we fed the chipmunks and they tried to shove as many nuts as possible into their little mouths. Their cheeks puffed up. I thought it was adorable! The image has stayed with me. Camping vacations in the natural environment are important to us as a family."

- Kerri Crochetiere, Age 17
