Giardino
dei Tarocchi (Tarot Garden)
Twenty-two characters of the Tarot, including the Fool, Empress and the
Magician are created from a variety of materials, including cement, mosaic
tile, ceramics and mirror. Created by Niki de Saint Phalle, the garden
is in the shape of a giant half moon and symbolizes life’s journey. Some
of the figures are up to three stories high and at one time functioned
as a living space for the artist.
