Orientation, bifurcation, and repetition result from my interest in the palindrome. The object begins, follows a specific set of rules throughout its body, and repeats back to the beginning. The rules of observation are governed by cuts that pierce the work. Observation must be active, from varying perspectives, as the viewer moves around the work. I construct this process to subvert gestalt.
