My experience growing up in a mobile home park drives my work. My old neighborhood is one of countless trailer parks across the country slated for destruction and replacement by luxury townhouses. I create landscapes that mediate between old and new, that talk about social class and stereotypes such as “trailer trash,” using personal experience to illuminate a history of the Midwest.
