I activate objects with performance. Manipulation of materials and movements— twisting or flattening, rocking and clapping, sifting or dumping—is never meaningless. I am interested in material transformation, the remnant, and engagement with my body. I remember how my grandma made pie: ritual let her control the internal and external environment. I would like to achieve this type of ritual in my work.
