Shapes resembling body parts reference the human body. I provide a limited amount of information, leaving the rest to be invented within the mind. Some of these pieces are created through an additive process that uses many found objects. Perception is explored through the use of holes whose darkness makes them appear as dark shapes applied to the surface. The colors I use are drawn from cereal boxes, record covers, and fashion. A bright object oozing a bright liquid seems sur­real and grotesque, yet the clean, sterile pre­sentation lends a beauty that makes these pieces subversive.
