Absurdity is all around us and takes many forms. In much of my work, ordinary elements, with different histories, are brought together to create absurdities of their own. I draw inspiration from technology. Looking at our world obsessed with faster, longer, farther brings me closer to an understanding of the space I occupy and my worth. We live in this world with a constant awareness of time; we have become machine-like in this industrialized, overmechanized society. Many of my ideas stem directly from this idea of hopelessness in respect to one's own time.
