One of the new features
of the ISCs Web site <www.sculpture.org>
is a list of Books on Sculpture, which we will be adding to
monthly. We hope you will use this list as a resource, and we also want
to let you know that if you purchase a book on-line by clicking on a title
in our list, a small percentage of your purchase will be donated back to
the International Sculpture Center by Amazon.com. One of the titles weve
recently added to Books on Sculpture is the massive Encyclopedia
of Sculpture, edited by Antonia Boström and published by Fitzroy Dearborn.
The three-volume Encyclopedia is the first reference work of this scale
dedicated to sculpture. The emphasis is on works and methods before 1965,
but there is a short article on post-1965 sculpture and several articles
on recent sculptors. This will be an essential reference work for art history
and studio art programs, as well as for artists and anyone interested in
three-dimensional art. Other notable new titles include books on Gordon
Matta-Clark, Olafur Eliasson, and Bill Barrett. You can visit Books
on Sculpture by clicking on this link.
