I would like to take this opportunity to welcome two new members to the ISC Board of Trustees, Mark Lyman and Andrew Rogers.
Mark is President of The Art Fair Company, Inc. and former Vice-President of dmg world media’s Art & Antiques Fairs and the Founding Director of SOFA. Last September, in partnership with Art Expositions, LLC, The Art Fair Company presented the highly successful debut of Expo Chicago, the International Exposition of Contemporary/Modern Art. Mark has been the recipient of an NEA Visual Artists Grant and the Museum of Arts and Design’s prestigious Visionary Award. He and
his wife, Meszko, have two adult children and live in southwestern Michigan.
Andrew is a distinguished and internationally recognized artist. He exhibits around the world, and his critically acclaimed sculptures and photographs are in numerous private and public collections. He receives many international commissions, and his Rhythms of Life is the largest contemporary land art undertaking in the world, forming a chain of
48 massive stone structures, or Geoglyphs, across the globe. The project has involved more than 6,700 people in 13 countries across seven continents.
I have the privilege of serving on several boards, for both public and private organizations. The ISC Board of Trustees stands out as one
of the most dynamic and successful. I believe that the diversity of our Board membership— including artists, collectors, museum directors, business executives, and people in public service—contributes greatly to our success. Our one common denominator is our love for and dedication to the worldwide promotion and support of sculpture.
Be assured that the ISC continues to be the leading voice of sculpture throughout the world. We are coming off an exciting event in New Zealand and have a great year ahead of us. There are wonderful sculptors to recognize and much to learn through ISConnects and other networking opportunities throughout the year. Plus, isc Press will release a new book in May.
