GET INVOLVED—it’s exciting. Now is the time for you to get more involved with the International Sculpture Center. We are adding two more names to the list of sculptors who have received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the ISC. Judy Pfaff and Ursula von Rydingsvard are both incredible sculptors, who have influenced and contributed to the international art community. We are very proud to number them among our distinguished awardees.
The Lifetime Achievement Award gala will be a very special evening not only honoring these two sculptors, but also celebrating sculpture. I invite you to come to New York and get involved. There are always interesting people to meet—collectors, patrons, and artists. The diversity of the field is always invigorating. Please plan to join us for the celebration on April 30 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. We promise you an exciting evening.
You can also get involved with the ISC in New Orleans at the 2014 International Sculpture Conference, October 1–4, 2014. This four-day gathering will be jam-packed with workshops, panel discussions, networking opportunities, artist talks, tours, and special events—all designed to bring sculptors, and everyone interested in sculpture, together into one energetic group. We will also explore how sculpture and the arts can help rejuvenate communities and economies. ISC conferences always introduce new concepts and challenges, drawing on the shared ideas of artists, curators, collectors, critics, art administrators, students, and sculpture enthusiasts. Such a stimulating environment benefits everyone. So, get involved with the ISC; I think you’ll find it very rewarding.
