This month, the ISC pays tribute to William King, recipient of the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award, who died on March 4, 2015. Bill was an incredible sculptor and a wonderfully kind and generous person. He will be missed by everyone in the sculpture community. For more information about Bill, please see page 80.
In this issue, we take a look at diverse approaches to sculpture from the U.S., Germany, Italy, Canada, and France, from interventions on city streets and in museums to abstract memorials, from conceptual to existential, and from contaminated to cathartic.
And, with summer vacation almost here, we are also highlighting a host of great sculpture parks worthy of a visit. You’ll find a special advertising section beginning on page 52. You can also go on-line and search our directory listings and our calendar for places and events near you, or wherever you are traveling.
