Undergraduate and Graduate Program Description:

Philosophy
The mission of the Division of Art is three fold: to provide student focused education, research and training mentored by practicing professionals for art and art education majors; to provide liberal arts educational opportunities in the visual arts for all students; and to provide student exhibition opportunities, regularly scheduled professional exhibitions, and special presentations as a regional art center for the general public.

Description of Facilities / Area of Specialty
7500 square feet of work space, complete wood shop, 3 welding and cutting machines for work with ferrous and non-ferrous metal fabrication, Mold-making and casting in aluminum and bronze, additional classroom for lecture, On campus facilities include a 3D animation and modeling computer lab, a student sculpture garden and a professional rotating sculpture garden.

Hours of access to facility
Changes according to staff. Current access 2 nights per week and certain weekends.

Grants available
Student Sculpture Garden Grant provides a stipend for materials to build a large outdoor public sculpture, Emerging Scholars Program provides $400 per semester for a project defined by a mentor to freshman and sophomore students.

Work/Study Opportunities
04 federal work study available to qualified students. Student can apply for shop assistant workstudy position which pays up to $8 per hour
