Larry Lowman is a sculptor and artist who works under a giant post oak tree at a south Texas ranch near Floresville. He sculpts in quiet solitude under the watchful eyes of several hundred head of cattle.
Larry holds a BBA degree in business from the University of Texas at Austin but has actually been sculpting since he was a child. His work has been shown in galleries and exhibits throughout Texas and in Santa Fe, New Mexico and pieces of his sculpture are owned by many prominent collectors.
Most of his work is executed in stone as he particularly enjoys working with a medium that is millions of years old and is rich in historical value.
As you view his pieces, you will be struck by the simplicity of each one but, at the same time, you will feel the directness and power. The resulting sculptures are always unique, sensuous pieces that demand to be touched
