After years of working in mixed media assemblage, I have recently delved into welded metal work. My process is still very similar; my materials are almost entirely those which can be found and/or scavenged. Visually complex urban/industrial landscapes, machinery, music, and the complex workings of the human figure still provide much inspiration. Sculptors whose work I enjoy include: Jean Tinguely, Louise Nevelson, Alberto Giacometti, Constructivists old and new, David Smith, and Debra Butterfield to name just a few.
