Worked on bridge jobs as a steelworker in the late 50's, early 60's--talk about monumental! But it was just hard work back then. Attended Westminster, U.of Arkansas, and KC Art Institute. Quit art school, went to work at a paving co. But then I put together a portfolio, was hired as an art director at an Omaha ad agency, stayed in the business forever, as a creative director. Worked on various accounts from Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee to Toyota in Los Angeles, won about 200 awards, 3 or 4 of them meaningful.
Sculpture Shows and Awards:
I had my first show in a small gallery east of The Crossroads area in
August, 2004 (Gallery in the Park). I've only been at this (sculpting) since
2003. That show resulted in my work being represented by The Hilliard
Gallery, where it is still exhibited. Second show was at The Hilliard

Sept. 2, 2005, a First Friday event, and have had several openings since.
