Drawing from the natural landscape, I try to create motion, both real and imaged. I bend eighth inch steel using my own strength to create a fluid motion so the sculptures move in the breeze. I find that the metal will tell me which direction it will flow, so occasionally I have to free my mind from the predetermined direction of a bend and follow the steel's will. Using a torch, I cut and weld the sculptures to create the final image. Although steel is often seen as rigid and industrial, my sculptures are at home when placed in the garden or in your home. My art ranges in size from table-top pieces to over 6 feet of garden sculpture and each sculpture carries a little of my humor.
