American artist Carole Turner creates contemporary figurative and abstract sculpture primarily in stone, bronze, and steel. Her voluptuous forms are organically stylized and/or abstracted to varying degrees. Much of her smaller scale work is in bronze , with many large-scale public sculptures internationally in marble, granite, limestone, basalt, and stainless steel.
Educated at Portland State University, New York University, Art Students League of New York, and Pacific Northwest College of Art, Carole is a professional sculptor, commissioned and exhibited internationally. She is a frequent participant in International Sculpture Symposia, and is co-organizer of the Puerto Vallarta International Sculpture Symposium.
She is the Executive Director of Columbia Sculpture Center, founding Board Member of Pacific NW Sculptors, Inc., and is U.S. Agent for AIESM - International Association Monumental Sculpture Events.
Carole’s sculpture has been exhibited internationally, and her monumental sculptures can be found in museums, municipalities, sculpture parks, and corporations in Vietnam, Russia, Poland, United States, Mexico, Argentina, Korea, Egypt, Turkey, Germany, China, and United States.
