ABOUT THE ARTIST

Nicky Falkenhayn is a sculptor living in Portland Oregon. She spent the first half of her live as a PE and sports instructor, traveling 3 times around the world. Once settled in Portland in 1990, art became the focus of her live. Classes at OCAC (Oregon College of Art & Craft) and PNCA (Pacific NW College of Art) launched her as a fiber artist. After the birth of her son she changed to sculpture and jewelry. Her work often combines  welded steel structures with plate glass or knitted wire accents.
