My sculptural works are a personal exploration in the erosive forces of nature that constantly sculpt and re-sculpt the world we live in. A case study of light, texture, and form. I'm inspired by the way shadows cast on the surfaces of eroded stone and change with the time of day, or with the seasons of the year. I'm intrigued with the complexities of plants and their growth patterns. My creative process is to investigate, and dismantle what I perceive to be the most appealing patterns within the geological, microscopic, and biological worlds. Expanding upon them, I sculpt my own forms, focusing on how light and shadow interact with the sculpture. And ultimately achieving my own balance between each design element.
