found object assemblage first peaked my interest in art using source material such as shovels, plow disks and pick axes. My work over time has evolved in many ways but the centerpiece, is piercing metal with a hand held plasma torch creating patterns of lace, abstract cutouts, and irregular line movements of spectacular line formations.

Abandoned streets, salvage yards, condemned buildings, and dumpsters are vast repositories for finding discarded objects to be carted back to my studio and transformed into  sculpture. it gives me great joy in creating beauty from societies refuse.

I tell a different story by recontextulizing old useless shovels or an ancient wok into a quasi beautifully decaying vessel.
