To create and offer stimulating art that enhances and complements the surroundings as well as challenges and excites the audience. Further, to be present and active in the Texas, national, and global art communities.
Experience
Georges Bruvel Furniture and Cabinet Design 1965-1974
Family Design business where design, engineering, construction, fabrication, use of materials, quality control, and finishing were strongly enforced.
Art Restoration Workshop, Chateaurenard, France 1974-1977
Studied under M. Laurent de Montcassin learning the techniques of Old and Modern Masters as well as art history of the 14th-20th century. Work included restoration of ancient ceilings, frescoes, and paintings.
Gil Bruvel Studio, St. Remy de Provence, France 1977-1986
Oil painting business providing high quality contemporary surrealist paintings to private collectors and public entities.
Gil Bruvel studio relocates to United States as Bruvel, Inc. 1986-current
Multiple large scale installations lead to permanent relocation in Maui and then Houston, Tx. Bruvel, Inc. officially incorporated in 1999. Computer aided design renderings enter creative design process generating unique specialized printing process models cast in highest quality bronze and 316L stainless steel.

“St. George and the Dragon” 64 foot 316L Stainless Steel sculpture selected by public as “People’s Choice” for installation
Private Art Commission in Houston, TX 1998-2002
Commissioned to design stonework, paintings, functional art, architectural detail, and one of a kind sculptures in one private residence in Houston, TX. Work included 900 tons of stonework, design for 14 columns, 3-large scale ceiling murals, 18 wall paintings, a 2-ton stainless steel theater door including and finishings of an escutcheon and matching door handles.
Worked effectively and efficiently with a team of 70 masons, various fabricators, engineers, transporters and installers. The project came in on time and on budget.
Skills
Languages- French and English
Proficient in 3d modeling and rapid prototyping including using methods since 1994 that are unique to Bruvel products
Advanced computer user- ability to design and create software, games, and intricate accurate renderings
Proven experience painting and sculpting in a variety of mediums
Proven experience creating and installing high quality large scale sculptures

City of West Covina, CA
Worked effectively with the West Covina City Council, the onsite project managers, and the local foundry. Successfully completed and installed project on time and within budget in collaboration with a local West Covina engineer, transportation company, and installer.
