Each site specific sculpture in the World Sculpture Project marks an equinox or solstice and is the focal point of seasonal celebration. Beginning in 1993 with ZIGZAG at the US and Canada international border in Stanstead, Quebec, equinox is marked when a shadow cast off the top of the piece reaches the northern horizontal part of the sculpture. The Vermont Community Foundation and local donors funded the sculpture. Colby-Curtis Museum, Stanstead, Quebec, Canada
