Installed in Brooklyn near Empire/Fulton Ferry State Park.
Memorial was created to comment on New York State Parks plan to lease Empire/Fulton
Ferry State Park to a private developer for possible 49 to 100 years. The developer's
plan was to change the park into a commercial shopping venue, removing all of
the open green space in the park, thus reducing its recreational and relaxation
value to nothing. The up side down pyramid shape comments on State Park's topsy-turvy
thinking with respect to their stated charter.
