Blown glass, Steel Cable
Thrust is secured to the wall solely by tightening the cables. This is the first sculpture I made using this method of attachment. The application of tension to glass is now the most widely recognized signature of my work.
A larger, sandblasted variation of this sculpture is available for sale. The outward thrust of that cone is even more boldly accentuated by the white, luminous surface of the sandblasted glass.
