Artist Statement: The "Secret Ingredient" to life is water. This sculpture combines the images of a water droplet, rolling surf and the creatures that live in the waters to reflect life. As one looks at this art work they may just see the image of rolling surf, dramatic and powerful; but upon closer inspections there are images of creatures beneath the power. However, focusing just on the images and the light that passes through them, one could miss the bigger image of the many sources of water. As with water, "Secret Ingredient" must be viewed from many angles, in detail and in total relation to all in which it interacts. It is the "Secret Ingredient" to life.
