TELLING STONES, at Mapua School in Nelson, New Zealand, is the 5th and final sculpture in Pond's World Sculpture series. The sculpture works as a sundial with a person casting a shadow to tell clock time, the seasons (equinox, winter and summer solstice), and the rising of the star Antares and the star cluster Pleiades.
