THREE SHADES OF GREEN
2012
15' X 6' X 6'
Mixed Media

A commission for the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. My sculpture concept for this project is based on our contemporary environmental concerns. The sculpture presents three figures setting on recycled turbine blades in various shades of green. Each figure represents the students of UTC and reminds them that they will and do hold the answers to today's problems and the future belongs to them. The sculpture will be fabricated of aluminum and structural fiberglass, with some stainless steel. There will be three pieces, each of which will be about 15 feet high. Each plinth will be mounted on a concrete foundation at a mixture of heights.
