The installation commemorates the song written during the 1969 John Lennon - Yoko Ono bed-in in Montreal. The phrase "give peace a chance", translated into 40 languages spoken here, is carved in relief on custom-cut stone pavers.
Commissioned by the City of Montreal for the mountain, a heritage site, in collaboration with Groupe Cardinal Hardy/Marie-Claude Séguin, landscape architect.
