The Hotel Indigo Detroit is the official conference hotel for the 30th International Sculpture Conference.

Hotel Indigo Detroit boasts contemporary, spacious accommodations, onsite bar and restaurant.

Ideally located in Downtown, the hotel is in close proximity to many of Detroit's top attractions including; Detroit Institute of Arts, Motown Museum, The Heidelberg Project, Charles H. Wright Museum, and Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

Hotel Indigo (formerly Holiday Inn Express & Suites) recently underwent renovations. Please be aware the hotel website may reflect the previous name of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

You may also call United Meeting Reservation Desk at 800-426-1122 Mon – Fri 8am – 10pm ET and Sat/Sun 8am – 6pm ET. Booking fees are waived for Meeting reservations.

Please note that flights must be booked between September 27, 2020 and October 6, 2020 in order to receive the discount. Discount level (2% – 10%) applicable based on 1st letter of published tariff fare purchased.

Hertz car rentalHertz

Cars are subject to availability, advance reservations are recommended. Rates are based on roundtrip rentals and are guaranteed from one week prior through one week after the meeting dates. Rates are available from all Detroit area locations for rental start dates September 30-October 3, 2020. Detroit People Mover

The Detroit People Mover is an enhanced public transit service that runs on a 2.9-mile looped elevated system. The loop can be completed in approximately 15 minutes and has 13 stations at key downtown locations, including TCF Center, GM Renaissance Center and Greektown. The one-way fare for the Detroit People Mover is $.75. Click here for more information.


MoGo is Detroit’s first public bike sharing system designed for quick trips around town. MoGo is a fun and convenient way to get around with 480 bikes and 44 stations around Detroit. Click here for more information.

SMART/FAST Bus Service-Public Transportation

FAST is a new service powered by SMART, which offers limited stops and connects the suburbs to downtown quickly and easily. The new high-frequency service travels along three of Detroit's busiest corridors, Gratiot, Woodward, and Michigan, and only stops at designated FAST stops. A ride to the airport—which will take just over an hour from downtown to the terminals—will cost $2.00 each way. Click here to view a map of Downtown FAST stops. Click here for more information.

The QLine
The QLine is a streetcar system that runs for 3.3 miles along Woodward Avenue between Congress Street and West Grand Boulevard. The QLine has 20 stations serving 12 stops, with headways ranging from 8 to 12 minutes. A 4-hour regional Dart pass with unlimited transfers between systems is available for $2. Taxi Service

You can find taxis waiting on level 4 of the airport terminal outside of baggage claim. Cabs to and from the airport average around $40 one way before gratuity. The one-way trip takes about 30 minutes. For a list of taxicab companies and shuttle services from the airport. Click here.
