Daniele Pollitz was born in Morocco and raised in Paris. Her childhood experience resulted in the fusion of her French upbringing and a natural sensibility of art and a broad sense of design. Her body of work includes a wide range of sculptures from small figurines to busts, functional vessels, large fountains,  and  bas relief  made of Metal and Leather. Daniele interprets the human body, and abstract forms in bronze clay and resin and currently she is working in in Metal cuttings with human forms made in leather.

All of Daniele's bronzes are cast by the Bedi-Makky Art Foundry in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. She works closely with the foundry, choosing and supervising the patinas and highlights that are particular to her work. Her sculptures have no more than eight castings.

In 1996 Daniele started experimenting with clear resin, an elegant material that looks like glass. She has created a unique collection of champagne buckets that suggest the exuberant effervescent spirit of champagne. The line includes "Woman in Ice", depicting a female torso, "High Roller" with the Queen of Hearts and the As of Spades, "Bucket of Artic Flutes," which resembles champagne glasses jutting out of a block of ice. These champagne buckets were featured many times at the James Beard Foundation in New York.

In 1998 The G&P Foundation for cancer Research honored Daniele with the commission to sculpt the "Angel of Hope" award, which was presented to President William Jefferson Clinton.

In 2002 Danieke  created a Collection of Fantasy Shoes inspired by five decades of fashion and her own vivid imagination. These shoes are made of translucent resin with a range of pop colors. Each shoe is signed with a limited edition of 50. They were presented in all the  famous show designer Stuart Weitzman stores in the US.

Daniele studied sculpting at the New School and worked for many years at the Sculpture Center in New York City. She has participated in many group shows and was very proud to present her Fantasy Shoe Collection in Southampton, N.Y. and in South Beach, Florida.

Her latest work of Metal and leather was presented at the Art Student League in New York and soon to be exhibited  upstate New York.

She currently divides her time between New York City, Paris and Morocco
