The "Carretto," a small traditional Sicilian cart, was the favored object to sculpt in clay.In 1958, the Di Maria family emigrated from Sicily to begin a new life in Reading, PA, USA.Today with 48 years of experience of sculpting a variety of subjects-from the human form to wildlife, and from logos to facades, Di Maria has developed and perfected unique process for colors and textures to use in his art.
