Deran Wright

 Deran Wright is a sculptor who was born in Fort Worth Texas. Mr. Wright works with the traditional method of lost wax bronze to create contemporary figurative bronze sculptures. 

His award winning works examine strong recurring myths, legends, and icons of our society, and have been exhibited throughout the United States and Japan.

In 1989 his sculpture dedicated to the memory of the crew of the space shuttle Challenger was unveiled  by President George Bush at the White House.

In 1991 A sculpture honoring Dr. Kenneth Cooper was unveiled at a presentation featuring George W. Bush as a keynote speaker. 

In 2004, his sculpture “Minotaur” won the Tallix Award at the National Sculpture Society’s Annual Exhibition, one of 17 out of a field of 870 entries.
