Ed Walker is a North Carolina artist working in cast bronze, aluminum and wood. His abstract work in wood makes use of the many interesting shapes found in logs with knotholes, splits and worm tracks found under the bark.  Additional textures  are added through the use of spiraling vines wraping around a sapling and the shape and texture of gourds and pinecones. His cast metal pieces are more formal arrangements of geometric shapes and heavy lines with subtle textures covering the surface.

Ed accepts commissions for both abstract and figurative public sculpture and memorials. Some of his recent projects include the life size Wilmington Firefighter memorial in Wilmington, NC, and a 3’x4’ US Navy Seals emblem.

He is the owner and founder of Carolina Bronze Sculpture in Seagrove, NC. Carolina Bronze Sculpture is a premier fine arts foundry serving artists all over the United States from the East Coast to the West Coast. CBS specializes in fine arts bronze casting and fabrication, using both traditional techniques and state of the art digital tools which include high resolution 3D scanning, CNC machining, Rapid Prototyping and 3D modeling and animation tools.
